Mission   Statement

To provide proficient, professional, safe, K-9 assistance for local emergencies, searches, critical stress management incidents and to provide lost person prevention and dog awareness education programs to the community.

Jackson County K-9 is actively involved in the Hug-A-Tree and Survive program. 


Our K-9s are cross trained in Pet Therapy for Critical Stress Management Incidents.  The team is a member Of Mississippi Crisis Response Network.  


Jackson County K9 is a 501(C) 3 Not-for-Profit Organization comprised of volunteer K9 Handlers and their dogs.

Sheriff's Department to assist in locating missing 16 year old.

JCK9 was called out by Jackson County Sheriff's Department to assist in locating a missing man in Vancleave.


April 24-27, 2018 JCK9 performed Hug A Tree and Survive programs for 375 Ocean Springs fifth grade students at Sandhill Crane Wildlife Refuge in Gautier, MS. 

May 12, 2018 several JCK9 dog teams participated in the Memorial Service and Burial for CWD Hank Pursley, (Kuwait Explosives Detection Dog, that was interred at the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park War Dogs Memorial.

May 30, 31, 2018, JCK9 K9 teams participated in the 17th Annual Trauma Symposium hosted by Mississippi Coastal Trauma Care Region.
